Peaches is a comprehensive ceramic studio in Portland, Oregon that has gained admiration globally for their unique approach to porcelain pieces. They specialize in slip casting, in which liquid porcelain is mixed with mason stains to achieve a dimensional and colorful look. Forms are designed digitally and are then used to make plaster molds. Peaches creates these molds for both in house production and as commissioned work for other makers in the Portland area.

I began interning for Peaches in 2021, and was quickly promoted as a paid employee of the studio. My role in production allowed for fast and meaningful growth in the industry. I assisted in the entirety of the slip casting process, from making the plaster molds to glazing the final product, and even representing the studio at various markets where we sold goods.
